After my evening nap, Ibu and Ayah brought me to United Square to get me my shoes.
There were generally 2 shops selling kids' shoes there; Shooz 4 kidz and Coletee. They were located side-by-side so it's easy for us to go back from one shop to another to compare. We shortlisted this pink adidas shoes from Shooz 4 Kidz and 2 shoes from Coletee. Initially Ibu and Ayah really liked this pair from Coletee but the size was a tad too big. However they also didn't quite like the others because they were either too stiff or too soft without any support. After a mini-discussion between them (I was just too busy bringing some shoe from one shelf to another), they finally settled for that same pair of shoes from Coletee...*yay!* Since it's a bit bigger than my feet, I got to wear socks when I'm wearing the shoes.
Anyway guess who I met at United Square?

Yes, it's Bob the Builder!
He didn't move even when I poke-poke his nose. Ayah put in a $1 coin in the kiddy ride and the kiddy-ride moved. There was even a Bob the Builder song being played. How cool is that? Of course, Ibu had a hard time coaxing me to move my butt when it's time to go home.
This has got be the most coolest ride ever made and I want one for my birthday...errm, actually Ibu is the one who wants it. hehe.
And it's a cinch to use; kids take to it in what seems like a millisecond. Plus, it doesn't require pedals, gears or batteries because it's supercharged by your little one's abundant energy. Just have them continously steer from left to right while placing both feet on the foot rests and watch them fly by. The car can speed to an exhilirating, albeit kid-safe, 2.8 meters per second!via Babygadget
There's even a limited-edition pink plasmacar. I wonder whether it's on sale in Singapore?
I need new shoes so Aunty Zah drove us to United Square yesterday to get me a quick pair of shoes. But of course, the shops were closed because we reached there only at 9.15pm...hehe. Bata was still open but the sandals were one size too big for my small feet. There wasn't any crowd like what you usually see in shopping centres and I had a fun time walking on the shiny floor.
Anyway Ibu wants some recommendation on which shoes are good for my growing feet. Colette shoes looks nice and Cerisi also. Crocs is too big for me. hmm...
It's the socks-wearing season because it has been raining cats and dogs (and goats and cows...) outside and the floor's a bit cold. Socks can be troublesome to wear because they don't stay long on my feet after walking around the house. And then I saw this "Socks On" on babygadget.
...like little Velcro jackets that 'lock' the sock in place. They've won a 'best new invention' award and been talked up in various baby magazines. Apparently, they are 'indispensable'.Sure or not? This one looks like something Ibu will wear when she sprains her ankles last time. It's so totally not cool.
Hey, it's a Saturday night and it's still too early to go to sleep.
Nenek is unhappy because I don't seem to play much with the tricycle she bought for me. Instead I play with things that are not supposed to be played like aunty zah's makeup kit. This one is no exception. A box simply means I want to be inside. Sitting in the box while watching teevee is bliss, I tell you. Ibu said she wants to build me a castle with cardboard boxes. We'll see how it goes.
I love going to the playground. There were the slides, rails for me to climb up and some fun rides on a frog and a horse. I want to touch everything that I see. I love observing the bigger kids running around the place. I tried running after them yesterday but they were just too fast from me. I'll practise more. :) Anyway I always had so much fun at the playground that I didn't want to go home.
So they want me to cook now?
They'll probably ask me to wash my own clothes next time.
I have an aquarium at home with 3 lil fishes swimming in it. But they disappear everytime I slammed the keyboard with my hands and somebody got to make it reappear. Hmm..
Like many singaporeans, we spent our new year's day SHOPPING. We went out with Mak Ngah's family and nenek to AudioHouse at Liang Court to get 'something-which-I'm-not-supposed-to-tell-yet'. Anyway I was only interested in the escalators at the shop and after persistent wailings, Mak Ngah brought me down the escalator while Ibu and Ayah shop around for their stuff. Later we went up the escalator again to go to the furniture shop just a level above AudioHouse. I sat at a couple of sofas with Abang Alif while the rest oooh'ed and aaah'ed at the items there. After Ibu & Ayah bought what's on their list, Uncle Azhar drove us to IMM where we had our dinner at Bali Thai. There were a lot of people in the restaurant and all the babychairs had been taken. I had no choice but to sit with Ayah and have my dinner while Ibu ate her favourite tomyum soup and some other nice dishes. When it was Ayah's turn to have his dinner, Ibu brought me out to have a lil look around. Ibu let me walk around this huge area where people were walking by. I felt very small (duh!) walking amongst all these giants. The tiles were a tad slippery too and I fell quite a number of times trying to balance myself and avoiding all these BIG people. I definitely need a new pair of shoes with better rubber soles.
