My new favourite hobby is making orange juice! Ever since I discovered how easy it is to make orange juice, I have been pressing so many oranges that I think I already made (and drank) a jug of it. It sure tastes better than those in cartons. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuumeh!

And we didn't throw away the 'used' orange. Instead we kept them in the fridge till we used them for some orange-stamping. They make pretty circlular patterns on paper and the printed papers can be used as wrapping papers.

We had a lovely picnic at the Singapore Botanic Gardens a few days back. The weather was just right. It wasn't too sunny that day and we had a perfect picnic spot! Since it was a weekday, there were not too many people around. There were plenty of snacks and I even helped Ibu make a batch of cheesecake brownies for everyone. Ibu's friends, cik Rosi and cik Yanni were there too.

We played frisbee and my friends, kak Sabrina, abg Zul and Hakeem even climbed up this GIANT tree. I didn't dare to climb it because I was afraid to fall and hurt myself. :( But i had fun playing masak2 with kakak using piles of sand and dry leaves. The day ended with us taking group photos (as if we are tourists! Hehehe) as a keepsake. See you again in the next school holidays!

We had a couple of visitors yesterday. Ibu's friend came and brought her son for a playdate. His name is Tufeil and he is a few months younger than me. I was very shy and stayed in my room while everyone was talking to each other in the living room.

I went out of the room when it was time for my lunch. Ibu cooked chicken rice which is kakak's fav. Tufeil's mommy also brought her special meatloaf and mashed potato. I ate quietly with Tufeil on the ikea table while kakak sat with the big people.

We did some cookies after lunch. It's just like playdoh...messy but fun. Hehe. It was an impromptu activity planned by Ibu. Initially we wanted to do corridor chalkdrawing but we just did this a couple of days back. Oh well, maybe next time when we meet again, Tufeil!

We went to explorerkids before visiting nenek+atok yesterday. Ayah didn't follow us because he went to Johor to visit my Obek (my uncle). Explorerkids was quite crowded when we reached although it's a weekday morning. I was less afraid now to try out some of the fun spots.

I joined kakak in the ball pit and had the time of my life, jumping and burying myself in the many balls. The transparent balls changed colours as the light changed colours too. Some of the bigger kids can be pretty rough and knock against other smaller kids. I was smart enough to just play in a corner of the pit.

Kakak Aisyah made a couple of friends while I just explore the place with Ibu. Ibu and I even climbed up the huge structure at the Mega Play area. We had to crawl and climb our way to get to this long slide and it was worth it, I tell you! You can feel the rush of wind in your face as you slide down. We let out a 'wheeeeeeeee!' as we slid down together. It was fun, fun, fun that we tried it 3 times before our 1hr of playtime was up.

We have some activities lined up for us in this school holidays...yippee! Ayah will be on reservist after the 2nd half of June so family outings are limited to days which Ayah has no duty.

Our first family outing is to the East Coast beach. I had been to the beach in a school outing and we had so much fun that we requested Ayah to bring us there again. Fortunately it was a sunny day and we reached the beach at 11am. We built sandcastles and dipped our feet in the water. We wanted to find some seashells but there weren't any. Ayah only found a dead fish and a dried fruit.

While we were having fun building sandcastles, a man suddenly came running to inform Ayah that one of our bags had been stolen. He's actually a plainclothes policeman and was on a lookout for a serial thief. The thief was caught by a group of policemen and we got our bag back. Phew! What an adventure!

The policemen crowded our picnic area and asked Ayah some questions. We had to stop playing and cleaned up to have our lunch. Bummer! Adek napped after lunch and we stopped at McDonald's for some dessert. I also had a chance to play a while at the playground while waiting for adek to wake up. Adek joined me when she woke up and we played for a while before we hailed a cab to go back. We will definitely visit the beach again.
