We went to Vivocity last week and had a blast with Abang Alif and his family. Vivocity has become one of my favourite jalan2 place. There's Toys R Us, a playground and the water area where I can dip my feet. And that's not all. Ibu and Ayah like that place too because there is a lot of food options too. I can have chicken rice at Banquet, drumstick&burgers and Barcelos or fish&chips at LJS. They can also go for grocery shopping at Giant. Everyone is happy there.

Nenek's been pestering Ibu to print some nice pics of me so here they are. There are just too many pictures of kakak Aisyah around the house and some are going to be replaced with my pictures. I hope she's ok with it!

Unty has finally married uncleShah. Nothing much interesting except a lot of people came and took lots of photos of the newlywed. I never attended a wedding of someone close and this is my first time.

I was very much uncomfortable because it was really hot and I was perspiring like crazy. We constantly seeked refuge in unty's room because its the other room with aircon...hehe. Everyone kept pushing each other especially when uncleShah wanted to put the ring on unty's finger. It was pretty chaotic, I tell you. But all's well ends well.

Congratulations to unty and uncleShah!

I'm lucky to have a sister because I can have twice the amount of the toys I have now...including this tricycle! hehehe. kakak Aisyah can be a bit stingy at times. She even takes my toys and claims I am sharing them but when I want to play with hers, she won't let me. *hmmph!* ok, maybe I tend to put things inside my mouth to taste and feel new textures. Obviously she doesn't want her toys to be covered in my drool. But I simply can't help it...I'm a baby afterall.

That's because oral exploration is a key developmental stage. Putting toys and other household objects in her mouth allows her to
discover the taste and texture of different objects.

Mouthing objects can also be a sign that her first tooth may be ready to surface. Although most babies cut their first tooth around 7 months, some can start as early as 3 months. When this happens, you'll notice your child drooling a lot and constantly putting things in her mouth. Kids usually feel some discomfort when a tooth tries to break through the gum surface. Rubbing a hand or toy against her gums helps soothe them.

Within a short span of time, I've eaten quite a variety of food. I've tried carrots, pumpkins, pears, apples, sweet potatoes and those rice/oats in a box. Ibu has to keep in mind that my meals are fortified with iron.

For both formula fed and breastfed healthy full-term infants, iron stores are well maintained up until the 6-7 month age mark when the iron stores may then begin to deplete. Babies who are formula fed are seldom at risk for iron deficiencies due to the high amount of iron in iron-fortified formulas. Infants who are exclusively breastfed are also seldom at risk for iron deficient anemia especially if the baby does not begin solid foods earlier than 6 months old.

Introducing solids too early to baby may actually hinder the iron levels in the baby; most often this is related to breastfed babies. If a baby is exclusively breastfed, then baby is getting all the iron needed up to about the 6–9 month mark.

Food preperation is easy-peasy. Ibu steams the fruits/vege in a small quantity (I don't eat that much!) till its soft and purees them using the handmixer. She will then store them in Avent storage containers and chuck them into the fridge. It really takes very little time and all Ibu needs to do is prepare a bowl of rice/oats and add a bit of the pureed food for some fruity taste. Easy, aint it?

How time flies! I'm 6mo today. I've taken all the so-called compulsory jabs. A bit of crying there but that's it. Alhamdulillah, I'm healthy. Ibu still finds spots of blood in my poop if she ate something dairy (psst, I suspect it must be those icecream and cakes. :P) Speaking of food, I've also started eating today...woohoo! The food wasn't that appealing...runny and plain buuuuut it's food nevertheless. More food pls, Ibu!!

In other news, it took quite an effort for me to roll from my back to my tummy few wks back but now I have mastered it perfectly. I can laugh hysterically whenever kakak Aisyah makes funny faces. She's good at that! I'm no longer in size S diapers and have moved on to M. I've even graduated to 6-12mths onesies nicely already.

And you know what. I just found out that being six months, I can also understand maths. Who needs calculators? They're only good for munching!

One plus one is two is a concept that even infants can understand, according to the latest research performed by a team of scientist in the US and Israel. The researchers determined that these young babies can detect mathematical errors in computation.
