Ibu brought us out to City Square Mall for some shopping at Metro. Nenek gave her some Metro vouchers and she has to use it before the end of this month. It wasn't so crowded since it was a weekday. The mall is also a walking distance to the popular Mustafa Centre so it's not overly crowded like many shopping malls here in Singapore. We spent almost an hour at Metro because adek Sarah couldn't make up her mind to pick a toy for herself. Ibu had already chosen a new King Koil pillow since there's a 10% voucher for that. I picked a Crab Mum and her lil babies, an Ocean in my Pockettoy.

We had our lunch at BBQ chicken since there are fries and chicken, our 2 most favourite food. :p Adek Sarah ate a lot of the fries and she got bored after a while. She began to jump on the chair and wanted to get down from her seat. She tried grabbing everything that's on the table. She is a sure a handful! I can confidently say that I wasn't like her when I was small. heh. We quickly ate our lunch and went back after that because we wouldn't want to roam in the shopping mall with a cranky adek!

Everytime kakak Aisyah makes me angry, I will cubit whatever flesh I can lay my fingernails on. I recently left a cubit mark on her arm that made her wail for Ibu.

Well, it was a bit of her fault anyway because she screamed at me. Ok, I was wrong too because I snatched her stuff away. I didn't even ask for her permission. Ibu scolded both of us because we were BOTH at fault. But like always, we got back together again and the world is at peace again. :p

An eye doctor came to our school recently and did some eyetests on us. Somehow I failed and I had to be referred to the refraction clinic for a further eye-checkup. I was a bit nervous before the actual day. Even Ibu+Ayah were nervous and did some googling what a refraction clinic is for.

In 2002, about 42,000 or 88% of children in kindergarten year 2 (K2) had their vision screened at their preschools. This screening was extended to children in kindergarten year 1 (K1) in 2003 and as at June 2003, about 36,000 children have had their vision screened this year. About one in five K2 children screened last year had poor vision and were referred for further vision checks at the refraction clinics. Of those who have been seen at the Refraction Clinics, about half have been diagnosed as myopic.
from Health Promotion Board

The day came and we went to Geylang East polyclinic. The lady-in-charge gave me similar tests that I've done at school. I had slight astigmatism which is inborn and is also a bit short-sighted. I was advised to look after my eyes with better care next time.

The actual cause of myopia is not clearly known. However, genetic as well as environmental factors play a part in the development of myopia. For example, the risk of a person developing myopia is higher if one or both parents have myopia while excessive near work such as reading and watching TV may also contribute to the development of myopia.

Although Ibu is a photographer, we seldom get proper portraits. We simply drive her crazy when it's phototaking time. She said we are her most difficult clients ever! Whenever we see her with her camera, we immediately run to hide and/or run around so fast that she finds it hard to capture us. Of course, the above picture is one of those rare times. :p

Whether it's rain or shine or just going to NTUC or a wedding...I only want my Dora slippers. Yep, you read it right. I love my slippers a LOT that I wish I can even wear them to sleep. I have another Dora crocs but I prefer this slipper which Ayah bought at United Square. The only time I wore something different was when Ibu made me wear a new Clarks shoes because she said "cannot wear slippers during Hari Raya!" OK, so I believed her. :p

If you always see me in my red with white polkadot dress, it's not because that's my one and only dress. Everytime I go jalan2, I love to wear it...yes, even to NTUC! hehe. Ibu and Ayah gave up persuading me to wear my other baju jalan but I always win, of course. :p

Since Ibu didn't cook on Hari Raya, we opted to go to Pizzahut after jalan raya at Nenek+Atok's house. Abang Alif and MakNgah also went with us since Uncle Azhar was out on a business trip to god-knows-where. We like going to Pizzahut because adek Sarah likes eating there. Well, I am sure you know how fussy she is and pizzahut food is one of those she wants to eat.

We ordered a set of crisscross fries and chicken karaage for adek Sarah and the pizza kid's meal (the one with a scoop of icecream...yummy!!) for myself. Ibu just ordered a set of garlic bread because we don't usually finish our food. :p We gobbled everything up (we were hungry at that time) and we were back home by 7.30pm.

Ibu dropped her iphone one day and the screen cracked. It looks like there's a cobweb forming on the screen. Fortunately the touchscreen still works and well, Ibu will only change it when her contract ends (which is like next year!!!).

Ibu and Ayah are going to paint my wall of art. How sad!

Ayah bought us Lyra facepaint pencils a few wks back and we are pretty obsessed with them. Even adek Sarah paints her own face (and body too). Ibu allows us to have our own tattoos. :p They're not that expensive though they're a bit too soft to sharpen. They're washable, fun and easy to use.
