We went to Joo Chiat Complex to get some curtains for Nenek's house. It was quite crowded although Hari Raya is still slightly more than a month away. I just lazed in my stroller while doing some people-spotting with Ibu. After what seems like eternity, Aunty and nenek managed to get purple-coloured ones; Nenek's colour theme for this year.
Whenever Ibu has a photography assignment on weekends, I have to stay at Nenek's house for a few days till Ibu finish her work. And what better way to stay connected than the Internet. Fortunately I can use unty's notebook and webcam to emesen Ibu and Ayah when I'm there. At least I can listen/talk to them and vice versa.
I just love playdoh. It's hours of fun especially when the rainy season is here again. It's one of those things you can play at home besides painting.
If you don't have playdoh, you can make one of your own. There are lots of recipes if you do a google. Heres one of them.
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
1/2 cup water
1/2 tablespoon oil
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
a few drops of food coloring
Mix all but the last ingredient in a small saucepan. Cook over a very low heat until it turns into a dough (it’ll take just a few minutes). Knead the dough on a floured surface until cool enough for kids to touch. Separate the dough into as many colors as you want to make. Put just a few drops of coloring in each ball and knead until evenly mixed.
