I was given the 'shhhh' treatment by the librarians the last time I went there but today is a good day to go because I don't have to be that quiet to enjoy the library. There are several groups of students who talk louder than me and toddlers walking around in their chetchot shoes. I love the library. I can make new friends, borrow some books or just wander around in between the shelves without getting itchy-scratchy because the place is airconditioned. Best of all, like Ibu said, it's free! hehe.
Cik Isz and gang came for a Hari raya visit and they brought me a Thomas the train cake. woooohooo...that means I got 2 birthday cakes this year! The cake definitely tasted nicer than the cupcakes Ibu bought for my birthday. I gobbled up a piece at night, saying...'nak lagi mamam!' many times. It's less sweet and the chocolate aint that overwhelming.
And best of all, the colours doesn't leave any colour stains on my tongue. I remembered Ayah was horrified to see the cream colours of the cupcakes around my lips when I ate a bit of it. I think we'll stick to those normal cakes from the bakery or maybe I'll have to remind Ayah to fix the oven so that Ibu can start baking our own cupcakes!
I had a bit of a cut on my lil finger. I didn't even realise the abrasion on my finger until I felt a tinge of pain but I was totally cool about it. When I showed it to nenek, she was shocked to see it. Ibu reacted worse when I showed her the cut. She then applied some minyak gamat on my finger and even got me a shrek plaster.
The seat of my previous highchair gave way last month and it had to be chucked away. Fortunately I wasn't having any meals while it happened. It could have been a nasty fall from the chair. :/
Since I don't have any highchair, I have to sit on my knees while having my meals with my parents so Ibu bought for me a booster seat from kidzloft so that I can sit comfortably and enjoy my food. It's still a very messy affair though.
Whenever a creative inspiration appears, I doodle on my easel. Sometimes I draw with my crayons or pencil colours. But Ibu just bought me a box of Crayola markers and they're fun to write with especially after I rub the marker writings on the board. I get coloured smudges on my palm.
I didn't spend much visiting on the first day of Hari Raya. After I woke up and wore my nice set of baju kurong sewn by my Nenek, we went to Mak Ngah's place to grab some lunch. I ate some lontongs too while running amok with Abang Alif. My other cousin, Adam, could only watch us play since he can only crawl at the moment. Despite the baju kurong skirt I had to wear, I have no problem climbing up and down the chairs and even did some commando crawl looking for bam-bams (read: ants).
Next stop was Nenek's house in Pasir Ris. I had a bit of my lunch plus dinner there and took a nap in between even. it's been a long time since I visited Nenek and I was quite surprised to see that her house was all spick and span. Well, the mess always comes from me anyway. So no aisyah = no mess. hehe. I even had to drink Yakult though it tasted watery...well, it's like water. Maybe Aunty Zah indeed put some water in the Yakult bottle. *hmmph!* We went back only after Isya' because I took quite a long time to finish my dinner. I have this new habit which is to keep the food in my mouth for as long as possible. And sometimes the gooey food drips out of my mouth when I talk or laugh. I sometimes forgot that I have them in my mouth. This drives Ibu crazy feeding me. She always says, "euwww..Aisyah, that's gross!" when I do that.
My parents brought me to Geylang Serai the night before yesterday with Adam and family. I don't actually remember if I've ever set my foot in that place before but let me tell you that it's absolutely crowded! Since it was nearing Hari Raya, that place was alive even in the late hours of the night. My parents carried me most of the time we were there except when there were fewer people. I wouldn't want to get lost in the crowd either.
I'm 2 today.
make that 2 years and 8+ months old. *grins*
i can yak yak yak all day long.
i play...a lot!
i run faster now...a bit funny but still it gets me to places faster with Ibu running after me like crazy. haha.
i throw tantrums which sets my Ayah's blood pressure to go higher.
i won't bore you with the milestones because I'm just like most other mini people my age.
It's not that easy to blow a balloon up afterall.
When Ibu asked me, "Nak Ibu tiupkan?"
I confidently answered, "shendiriii..."
After a few tries, I gave up. I need bigger lungs lah.
If you don't have real balloons, you can always play bloons. It's my favourite game nowadays. Ibu gets frustrated whenever she can't hit the mark.
I was at Nenek's house from last Friday till yesterday. When I came back, new curtains have been put up in the bedrooms, the floor feels cleaner and I got a new bed in my room. Well, it is my room technically till I'm old enough to sleep in my own bed. We'll need some shifting around to make space for me, me and just me. woohoo. Ibu told me that we will need to chuck away one of the PCs and the computer tables and Ibu will probably get a notebook for her work when it's time for me to move out....of my parents' room. heheh.
