I enjoy taking public transport to anywhere. I get grumpy whenever Ibu takes me out in a stroller to the library or the nearby NTUC. Although Aunty Zah always brought me out jalan2 in her car, I love long bus rides that allows me to do some people watching.
We went to the NTUC at Junction 8 yesterday by bus. I know it sounds ridiculous to take the bus to a destination we can walk to but hearing the "beep beep" sounds on the card scanner and hearing the "ding dongggg!" in the bus excites me. :D
I've learnt a couple of new words lately. Aunty zah has taught me to say "sorry" whenever I bumped into anything. I'll go, "Sorry..." whenever I bump into something (even the furnitures) or someone. I'll also say the word whenever someone says, "oops!".
Ibu too has taught me to say "Thank you" whenever someone give me something. But "thank you" is a harder word to pronouce so I can only manage a "tenk". Repeating words after the big people is becoming easier for me but I'll forget them unless someone repeats it for me consistently like everyday.
We went to an island (even smaller than Singapore!) yesterday. Aunty Zah 'packed' everyone inside her car and off we went to Sentosa. I woke up quite late and by the time we got to Palawan Beach, it was already near to 12noon.
There were not many kids playing around since it was a very warm weather. But there were quite a few kids playing in the water. I even made some friends.
I dipped myself in the water while splashing the water with my hands.Too bad part of the place was being cleaned up so I can't play at the water feature where the water jets emit from openings in the ground. It was fun and I don't want to get out of the water. Ibu had to carry me while I was tossing and turning trying to get back into the water. But of course, Ibu is stronger than me. I had a change of clothes and we were off to Vivo City for lunch after that.
We went to Secret Recipe where I had my *boring* chikin porridge and some pancakes. While waiting for their food, AUnty Zah and me discussed where we shall go for our next Sentosa outing. I can't wait for another dip in the pool. yippee!
Nowadays I get very angry with people and I yell at them. I got really cross with Ibu just now because she was so mean. She wouldn't let me eat my yanyan till I finished them. I was dipping my fingers into the chocolate and strawberry dips and making Abang Alif furious because I smudged his spectacles case with choc. I glared at Ibu and yelled at her when she took it away from me. I screamed, stamped my feet and threw myself on the floor while kicking my legs.
Last week I actually hit Ayah because he was mean too. I ran up to him and whacked him on the back and then I ran back. I whacked him again at the back. Oops...looked like a wrong move because Ayah looked like he might pick me up and throw me like Doc Ock did to Mr Spiderman, but instead he told me that hitting him is a wrong thing to do. I haven't hit him again ever since then. I think I'll stick to yelling, that's safer.
The batu lesong looks like a cool toy to me. I saw nenek pounding away in the kitchen so I decided to try it. Basically you just take the pestle and pound any stuffs inside the mortar. Easy and fun, isn't it?
Ibu brought me to the Bishan library for the first time today....well, after she trusted me not to tear up any books there. I was actually a bit scared going to such unfamiliar places especially when it was crowded. But when I saw the shelves of books, I explored the place myself. Ibu got me an Eric Carle's book, Mister Seahorse and I sat down at one of the desks meant for lil people like me. The book is about Mr. Seahorse who met other fathers who are carrying eggs and camouflaging themselves in between clear, plastic-like pages, while looking after his own babyeggs. I haven't really finished the book but I can continue reading it anytime because Ibu borrowed it from the library. Wanna go the library together with me?
