I went to Dr Kartika last Friday and I am feeling better now after several rounds of antibiotics. The sore throat is probably the culprit. Anyway we went to Vivo City earlier and I got myself a baby pink umbrella. It has pop-up ears and rounded tips for safety with a black plastic handle. It also must be opened and closed manually. There were other animal umbrellas too like the pig, cow, and frog but I love this one the best.

I'm still down with a fever today. :( i felt like something was wrong with my body since last week. I didn't have the appetite to eat. I woke up in the middle of the night with difficulty going back to sleep. Yesterday was worse but the fever is under control now since I have panadol to treat it. I think I have to see the doc if the fever comes again tomorrow.

But, most commonly, fever is caused by an infection. The body's immune system senses the "foreign invader" -- such as bacteria or a virus -- and sends a chemical message to the temperature center instructing it to crank up the heat inside the body. This has many advantages:

Some bacteria and viruses don't like the higher temperature and are then more easily destroyed by the immune system. The higher body temperature helps the body to ward off the infection.

In this way, fever is actually our friend: It lets us know that an infection may be brewing, and it helps to fight off the infection.

Well, I still hope the fever gets away soon.

Sometimes I feel like a royalty because Atok will be my 'shadow' and kipas me wherever I go with a Doraemon fan. Most of the times, the fan will be blowing at me at maximum speed. But with my ever-growing thick hair, my scalp will get sweaty and after playing for quite some time, it will itch like crazy. I will scratch and scratch and scratch till it panicked Ibu and she asked me to stop repeatedly but I ignored her and get cranky after that. So Nunu...having less hair is actually a good thing in this kind of weather. So I find cooling ways like standing in a bucket of water. This will do until I can soak myself in the pool. I thought we're going to the pool one day, Ibu? When will that be? hmmm...

Is it just me or the weather's getting warmer these few days? I wish my house is airconditioned but my parents believe that I might be an aircon kid in future and demand to have aircon when there isn't any. I just wish Singapore is one HUGE airconditioned country. Maybe we should move to somewhere colder. heh.

I slept at nearly 3am this morning and woke up at 7am. The rashes were disrupting my sleep. I probably used a portion of my sleeping time to scratch, scratch and scratch!

Ibu and Ayah brought me to the playground 2 hours later after futile attempts to make me sleep. Even when I crapped in my mamypoko, I screamed and tried to run away when Ibu tried to cleaned me up. Maybe it's the time of the month, like Ibu said. You know...that "tukar bulan" sydrome. heh. And amazingly I can still run around the playground for more than half an hour. I even zoomed down the winding slide...with Ibu, of course. And fortunately Ibu didn't get stuck or something...hehe. :P

After we went home, I took a bath and had an early lunch. I gobbled everything up and 2 hours later, I was flat. And I slept like a baby.

I'm enjoying myself doing a new 'tonggeng' trick. And I successfully did a 180% flip yesterday! But my legs knocked against Ayah's face (he was lying next to me on the bed) and caused his specs to graze his eyelid a bit. oops.

I often squeeze myself in between the mattress when I heard Nenek calling me from the kitchen. It's my new hiding place. I will keep very quiet till she finds me which leaves her frantically running from one room to another most of the time. Either that or I let out a chuckle to give her a clue to where I am. hehe.

My Ibu is a bit slow in helping me to update my blog because she's been a bit busy at work and other gazillion things to do at home. That's why you can see a flood of entries sometimes...hehe. Anyway Ibu cooked some fettucine yesterday and let me eat some with a bit of pasta sauce all on my own. My first time...yah, it's a bit late to eating on my own but it's better late than never.

It was rather tricky trying to put the pasta into my mouth. I had a spoon but who eats fettucine with a spoon...rite? *Apa lah, Ibu nihhh.* I did the most logical thing...picking them up with my fingers and putting them one by one into my mouth. Most of it went to my cheeks; smearing the area around my lips. Ayah came to my rescue by feeding me some of the pasta on his plate. The next best thing is to pick up the bowl, put it closely to my mouth and eat it just like that.

You should try eating yourself if you haven't done so. It's fun sucking the last strand of the fettucine in and getting the sauce all over your face.
