Ayah couldn't carry me around the house and go jalan2 because he injured his back while he was doing his police duty few days back. The doc also advised him not to do any strenuous work for the time being. So when Ibu is tired from carrying me around, nenek bishan will 'entertain' me instead. But while Ayah went out to have his back massaged just now, Ibu brought me out to Junction8 on bus #410.

Yes, it's my first time taking the bus to Junction8...all alone with Ibu. It sure feels exciting although I've been on the bus before. I shouted, "Baaa!" when the bus came. We didn't walk around much in Junction8 because Ibu didn't bring the stroller as she felt it was far too heavy to carry it on the bus. And I hated to be in the sling. We sent the bedsheets for some dry-cleaning and went to NTUC to buy me some biscuits which was running low at an alarming rate. We also went to Kiddy Palace to buy me some nice socks.

While we were on our way out of Junction8, Ibu spotted some funny-shaped balloons and these were not those kind of rubbery balloons which Ibu is terribly frightened of. These balloons can float and best of all, they don't go 'BOOOOM!' when it burst like normal balloons. Ibu is frightened of balloons because she feared that they might burst anytime. She bought me a heart-shaped balloon with Elmo on it for me. yay! We went home after that with my hand holding onto the string tightly for fear it might fly away from me.

As you all know, I have 4 teeth now...2 at the top, and 2 at the bottom. I have to take care of them because Ibu says that if boys and girls don't take care of their teeth, their teeth will have worms on them...eeeyuck!

Dentists recommend cleaning gums with gauze to remove plaque beginning when teeth first appear, usually around six-to-seven-months.
Quoted from Caring for little teeth

first teeth toothpaste and brushSo Ayah bought me a set of toothpaste and toothbrush...well, it's more of a fingerbrush because the person brushing my teeth will have to slide the soft cover as far as possible on the index finger and start brushing.

But of course I thought that fingerbrush is another teether and I bite it as hard as I can. And nenek (or the person brushing my teeth) will be the one who's yelping in pain...oops!

(p.s. usually my teeth is brushed during bathtime but Ibu forgot to brush them so she brushed them (on the bed) after I am all fresh after my bath instead)

There are some instances when I would be screaming at Abg Alif because I sooooooooo wanted to play with his prized cement mixer and toy cars but he wouldn't let me so. He had a reason, you see. I keep putting everything in my hands into my mouth and he doesn't want his toy vehicles to be soaked in my drool hence he refused to lend me his favourite toys now. *hmmph!* Nenek bishan actually wanted me to play with 'girly toys'...things like dolls and main masak-masak. Well, I don't know really. I love watching Nenek cooking in the kitchen in my high-chair (I have a high-chair in Pasir Ris now...woooo) but I don't really fancy playing masak-masak. But if Nenek Bishan really wants me to practise cooking, I would prefer to have something like the one I've attached below.

The burners glow when you switched it on and the fridge even light up when someone opens it...just like in my kitchen!! My birthday is coming, you know! *giggles*

invertedNenek has a theory that my teeth at the top has a gap in between is caused by my preference to suck my pacifier like this. Ibu is also beginning to have a separate fund for my braces in future but I don't fancy having metal teeth like Aunty Zah used to have. :P

Ibu and Ayah decided to get me a new hairstyle. I had my hair cut before but this is the first time I had it done by a professional hairstylist. hehehe. it's The hair has been growing long and when you're in a humid place like Singapore, you wish you were bald...hehe. But they didn't go to the extreme to have me botak again...*phew! that was a real nightmare* Instead they brought me to Junior's League to have an aunty cut my hair. Ibu plonked me down on the seat and the aunty cover myself up with a red plastic cover. I thought we were going to play peek-a-boo like me, Ibu and Ayah played at home but that was actually to cover myself from my snipped hair.

The aunty asked Ibu on the preferred hairstyle and Ibu mentioned something layered. As long as it's funky, I really don't mind actually. And off she goes snipping my hair away. Fortunately I have the cover over me because quite a lot of my hair dropped on me.

When I got restless, another aunty showed me a toy to distract myself. There was even Barney singing and dancing on a small teevee. But I continued to look left, right, top and bottom. The aunty who was cutting my hair was reaaaaaaaallly patient because all she did was smile. I guess she is already used to 'difficult' customers like me....hehehe.

Ayah doesn't have to buy me a high-chair because there's an alternative. It's not eactly a high chair but Ibu thinks this is a good practise for me to sit on a chair while eating. We had this rocker since I was born but it wasn't used because I refused to lie on it for long. It has three reclining seat positions and it even comes with a tray. The tray is supposedly for me to practise my eating skills but for now toys are placed on it to keep me entertained during my mealtimes. :P

me with atok bishanI can even now go to the kitchen to see Ibu prepare the food. :D

I had some visitors over at my Bishan home yesterday. They had visited me when I was very very small. But I didn't sleep this time...hehe. Initially they wanted to bring me out to J8 for some jalan2 but since my nose is dripping mucus, Ibu had to cancel the outing. :( But Ibu's friends came over to visit me instead...hoorah! And they even bought me some gifts too. Cik Isz bought me a pair of cute Bobux shoes (something which I planned to buy..hehe), Aunty Toots bought me my very first sweater and Aunty Yan bought me a dress which is all purple like Barney(!!!). Thx small peeps aunties! Can we meet again, aunties? *giggles*

p.s. Ibu requested for the photos that Aunty Toots and Aunty Yan took with your cameras(fone).

While some of the bambinos are recuperating from their flu, I had mine this week! My nose was all drippy today and Ibu thinks it's time to see Dr Pradeep. I even have a slight cough and makes throat-clearing sounds every now and then. Actually I already had the sniffles since a few days ago but it wasn't sooo bad till today. We went to Kinder Clinic after my lunch which took almost 2hours to finish. Well, my throat is itchy plus the fact that I wasn't feeling too well hence the reason I was eating realllly s l o w. By the time we reached the clinic, it was nearly 4pm. Dr Pradeep listened to my heartbeat while I tried to reach for his ste-thos-cope (whatever you call it). He said that I'm having a common flu and it should be over in a few days time. I also have a sore throat. He also mentioned that I'm a petite baby because I'm 2kg less than what I'm supposed to weigh. :( Any tips to beef up, Bambinos?

Back home I took my medicine and slept although I woke up and played like I wasn't sick at all. In the words of Ayah, "Even the medicine doesn't seem to have any effect on Aisyah..." heh.

p.s. I especially like the taste of the cough syrup but I hate the one for my runny nose. *ack!*

Aunty Zah brought me and Ibu out to Toys' R Us in the afternoon...of course to get me a toy. My eyes go BIG when I saw the many many toys in that store. I tried grabbing some of the toys but Ibu saw me doing it everytime and didn't let me. I managed to grab a giant elmo though. Ibu didn't buy me that giant elmo but she let me hold it for a while. I heard Ibu telling Aunty Zah that she has a budget and that's why she won't buy me that Elmo. Eventually I grew bored with it and threw elmo away. But not until Ibu showed me what she wanted to buy for me. She showed me a tow truck which I was hooked instantly. It looked like the ones that Abang Alif has at home but this one rumbles whenever the string is pulled. I have a fascination with trucks. And what's wrong with a girl playing with trucks? In fact, Ibu told me that she didn't play much with dolls or masak2 when she was my age too. Nenek+Atok used to buy her toy cars and lego bricks and Ibu always prefer remote-controlled cars than dollies.

Back to my trip to Toys R'Us, Ibu also bought me 2 hand puppets; Elmo and Barney. You can fit Elmo into your hand and it can do special stuffs like waving and clapping. I really loveeee Elmo...it looks just like the one in Elmo's world except it can't talk like the real Elmo. Maybe I'll get Ayah to get me a bigger and better Elmo next time...a real one! hehehe.

Since Ibu is in charge this week, she had been cooking, cleaning up the house and the most important thing; looking after me. When I'm asleep, she rushed to get the housework done because once I wake up, I expect her to be with me although she tries to distract with more toys and books and tv. She puts me in the playpen while she does the housework. I am generally an easy baby to look after although I get bored easily with the playhouse disney channel and screamed for her instead. She also brought me out a number of times by herself to the supermarket across the street to grab some groceries, or just pushing me in my stroller around bawah blok and even to White Sands by bus. I was screaming in excitement and clapping my hands in the bus even though everyone was looking at me. Although this is my 2nd time riding the bus, I am still very much excited. It sure is a refreshing change to the usual taxi-rides I usually have. Maybe we should do this often, can we, Ibu?

I had one of the most terrible tummy-ache in the early morning. When I screamed suddenly after my nap yesterday at 8.30pm, Ibu and Ayah thought I was probably crying from a bad dream. They tried soothing me with my favourite things (like opening the fridge..heh) but I didn't even stop crying. They then realised that I might have a tummy-ache due to the irregular meals that I have today. Ibu found my tummy to be very very hard and immediately applied some minyak telon on it. Ayah rubbed my thighs with the minyak too. It was even more painful lying down. I scrunched up my knees to my tummy and screamed at the top of my voice whenever Ibu and Ayah placed me down on the bed.

By then Ibu was already panicky. Fortunately there's still one available paed whose clinic opened till 10pm on a Sunday night and Ayah decided to bring me to the doctor. When I reached the ground floor of my house, my tummy seemed to be ok and my cries had already subsided. Ibu & Ayah decided that perhaps the tummy-ache had disappeared and decided not to go to the clinic.

the morning afterAunty Zah picked me and Ibu up to bring us back to Pasir Ris. Ayah had to stay in Bishan because he got a shooting practise the next morning.

I was my chirpy self again but it was shortlived. I woke up in the middle of my slumber and screamed again. The pain was more painful this time. Ibu and Aunty Zah quickly put on their tudong and rushed me to the nearest 24-hours clinic. It was already 12.30am. There were of course, no patients at this time. The doc (who was looking rather sleepy with pimple cream on his face) diagnosed it as a wind problem and gave me medicine to clear the wind in my tummy. Ibu made me eat the medicine once I'm home and it worked! I let out flatulance every now and then during my sleep. The nightmare was soon over and I was sleeping soundly again.

I had just gotten back from sending my nenek+atok on an aeroplane to a country far far away. Nenek was talking to a lot of people before she left. They wanted to carry me around but I resisted, clinging to Ibu. eventually i fell asleep amidst the noisy crowd. I didn't even get to wave my byebye to nenek+atok...the kind of wave that Ibu said if i were to do any faster, i'd have been propelled from the ground...hehe.

When I woke up, it was already my lunchtime. ibu, ayah and aunty zah whisked me off to a foodcourt. and i thought i could have all the yummy-looking food but i had to eat vege goop *bleaRgH!!* ibu & ayah ate crap food too because i heard ibu mengomel about the chikin. i bet she wished she was eating my vege rice at that time :p

The aircon at the airport was very cold too. My food turned cold pretty quickly although Ayah just prepared it with hot water. I detest cold food! I love it when it's warm. Back at home Ayah always puts my meals in hot water bath to keep them warm...just the way I like them...mmm.

I was cranky after my lunch and we went home after that. I am going to miss my nenek+atok but I'm looking forward to having fun with Ibu and Ayah. :D

Trying to fit myself in"Nenek, will you bring me with you?
No? Nehmind...
I'll pack myself in when you're asleep."
