At vivocityIbu got her ellaroooo meihip baby carrier last week. She was very excited when she got it and she used it while we were out to Vivo City last Saturday. I didn't squirm or wriggle to get out when Ibu popped me into the carrier because it was comfy and I can cling onto Ibu for longer hours now...hehe. Anyway Vivo City is heeeeeeeeeyuge. And I thought the shopping centre at Bishan is already so BIG already. Aunty Zah got something from starhub with Nenek and Atok while me, Ayah and Ibu went to see some BIG teevees...most were bigger than the ones we had at home. We had our dinner at the chikin rice shop. That place was so crowded and we had to wait a long long time to get our food. Nenek ordered so much food and the table was filled with plates and more plates of food! I was basically trying to get hold of the dishes on the table so everyone had their food first while Aunty Zah brought me out to explore the place a bit to give them some peace. :P There were ballons everywhere and Aunty Zah got one for me. Of course Ibu is afraid when I came back with a balloon in my hand and squealing in excitement. I kept showing the balloon at her face and she looked afraid. hehe. We didn't stay long at Vivo City because I was already cranky. I just need a nap and I'll be all right again. Aunty Zah quickly drove us back to Bishan while I slept...zzzz.

I am a late bloomer and unlike most of my bambino friends who had been walking (walking like a frankenstein or not!), I still haven't taken a few steps on my own. I can stand up for several minutes and that's it. When my knees go wobbly, I sit down again with a *pLomp!*. Everyone's asking me to tateh but all I do is just holding someone's hands or grabbing onto something like the sides of the table to walk...that's all.

Nenek bought me a walker yesterday. It's supposedly to help me with walking but I can just push my feet to get to the things I want just by sitting down. :P Ibu was against the idea of using walkers initially but exploring around the house in the walker is a much much safer option than crawling. Besides this is a new-found freedom for me rather than being cooped up in my playpen.

We went to the beach with Abang Amin and Kakak Nurul for the very first time today. I can't describe how much water I saw but imagine a really GIGANTIC basin filled with water! I was so excited that I kept waving my arms about. The weather was niceee...warm sunshine with a gentle sea breeze blowing at my hair as Atok pushed me in my stroller.

before the dreadful jabI knew Ibu and Ayah were up to something when they brought me to Kinder Clinic. I was NOT sick or anything so why would they bring me there?? All was well when Dr Pradeep listened to my heartbeat through this long-wired thingie around his neck and put a earphone-like gadget in his ears to listen to my heartbeat. The moment Dr Pradeep applied some cooling stuff on my right thigh, I immediately grabbed Ibu and cried out for us to get out of the room...quick! But it was too late.

Dr Pradeep poked me quickly and pasted some ugly-looking sticker. I was already screaming in pain. Kind of dramatic, isn't it? And that's not all. He applied more cooling stuff on my left thigh. I was already crying in pain because I just realised that I'm not getting only one jab...but 2 jabs at one go! It was awful, ok! I hate taking jabs. *sob*

Nenek, Atok and Aunty Zah visited Adam today and I followed them too. Adam had changed quite a bit since the last time I saw him. He had 2 tembam (chubby) cheeks which Ibu refers to as pau. They look like someone put some blusher on them...hehe. Everyone wants a bite of that cheeks. kesian Adam! He can't see much yet and kept his eyes closed most of the time. He did open his eyes once but he slept immediately after that. He's a very gooooooot boy and didn't struggle when his Umi wrapped him up in a white cloth. I would have perspired in that...thank goodness those wrapping days are over for me...phew~! All I want to do now is poke poke him and touch his hair but nobody let me...hmmph! Nenek said he cries really loud but fortunately our ears were spared from that while we were there. :P

me and my teethWhen Ibu got home from work just now, she whipped out her new toy and excitedly introduced it to everyone. Ibu just got herself a camera and it is HUGE...it's bigger than my face! She must have loved it much because she didn't let me touch it. Ok, she let me see the preview shots on the back on the camera; it's like a mini teevee. Now she's like a crazy woman on the loose, taking pictures of me and everyone else in the house. *yikes!*

Adam with ObekWelcome to the real world, Adam. He's my new baby cousin! The doctor cut Mak Long's tummy yesterday and out came Adam. He's currently in a special room where the nurses is giving him extra oxygen to breathe because he got water in his lungs and he can't breathe properly yet.

Poor lil guy! Hope he gets well soon so that we can play together. :D

What's leftI tasted chocolate for the first time today. It was an accident...really! Ibu and Ayah wouldn't let me have any bit of the sweet-smelling stuff but I got to taste the creamy texture today. You see, I was holding a small piece of choc covered in aluminium foil. When Ibu didn't notice, I quickly put the piece inside my mouth and bite it. It was super-duper nice, I tell you. Ibu saw it and quickly tried to retrieve the piece of chocolate while I continued to enjoy the taste of chocolate...hehe. I bit her fingers, refusing to let her take away my choc but Ibu eventually took out the aluminium-foiled wrapper *with the choc :(* and there goes my chocolate.

I finally pooped after 3 long days...yes...I haven't pooped since last Thursday. Ibu tried massaging my tummy several times. Ayah and Ibu did the "wanting-to-poop" sounds but as much as I tried straining, nothing comes out except some foul-smelling fart. *covers nose* I'm sure everyone have kept their poop long at one point or another and let me tell you that it's an uncomfortable feeling. I suffered from 3 days of no poop just 2 weeks ago and it was very bad....up to the point when Ibu masaged my tummy and she could feel lumps on the left side. She panicked and wanted to bring me to the doc. But I let out a grunt and pushed out that long-kept hard poop that has been inside my tummy after the massage and the lump was gone. That lump was poop all along. Pretty bad, huh?

So just now I decided to give it another try and I let out a grunt and finally pushed out The Poop. It has the size of a golf ball, hard and shiny and boy, it sure smelt horrible since it's been "kept" for 3 days! And I let out another smaller sized poop 30minutes later. And another one...this time a bit softer and smaller.

My constipation stumped my parents because I'm given prune juice of at least 3tablespoons on a daily basis now and I'm drinking more water. Ibu suspected that my diet of rice got something to do with it. She's giving me pasta and oats now as meals. And no more biskots as snacks. Instead I have fruits like watermelon and cherries to substitute as my snacks now. We'll see how it goes.

Bananas, rice cereal and applesauce all tend to produce firmer stools. Carrots and squash are constipating for some babies. Pears, peaches, plums, apricots, peas and prunes make stools softer. By balancing the diet, you can often keep the stools comfortably mid-range. If the stools are still too firm, juice is the gentlest medicine to soften them up. Apple juice twice a day is a good bet. If this doesn't work, prune juice is even better. Also, when your son is straining you might want to put him in a tub of warm water. This will relax his muscles and make the stool easier to pass.

Ibu introduced me to cheese last week and I am soo in love with anything cheese. So far Ibu has made me buttery rice topped with tomato cheese'y sauce with bits of chikin in it and pasta cooked in cheese'y sauce with grated carrots. yumyummm. Ayah sits very far away from me when I'm eating because he don't like the taste/smell of cheese...hehe.

And did you know that a new tooth has grown and that makes it a total of 5 teeth now! yeah!

Sometimes it's good to relax and put a foot up and just let the hours whizz past you.

Oh dear, Ayah suffered a very bad backache again today. His back was really in pain the moment he woke up in the morning. He tried putting on a brave font and wanted to follow us to the jalan2 raya outing with Nenek, Atok and Aunty Zah in the afternoon but he couldn't sit without support for long and he had to lie down all the time and we had to cancel the outing. Sorry Nenek for the cancellation...let's hope Ayah gets better next week and he can go Hari Raya visiting. I haven't seen him in such pain before this...my poor Ayah. Ayah couldn't carry me and play with me like he used to. I hope the doctor can fix his back or something so that I can play catching with Ayah again. :(

Instead of blending my food into pureed food, Nenek cooked my lunch of chikin, potatoes, bits of carrots and broccoli with a tint of ikan bilis in a crockpot just now. I instantly loved the taste and gobbled everything up within 1/2 an hour. Something yummy for my tastebud finally and the world is at peace again...hehe.
