I finally pooped after 3 long days...yes...I haven't pooped since last Thursday. Ibu tried massaging my tummy several times. Ayah and Ibu did the "wanting-to-poop" sounds but as much as I tried straining, nothing comes out except some foul-smelling fart. *covers nose* I'm sure everyone have kept their poop long at one point or another and let me tell you that it's an uncomfortable feeling. I suffered from 3 days of no poop just 2 weeks ago and it was very bad....up to the point when Ibu masaged my tummy and she could feel lumps on the left side. She panicked and wanted to bring me to the doc. But I let out a grunt and pushed out that long-kept hard poop that has been inside my tummy after the massage and the lump was gone. That lump was poop all along. Pretty bad, huh?
Bananas, rice cereal and applesauce all tend to produce firmer stools. Carrots and squash are constipating for some babies. Pears, peaches, plums, apricots, peas and prunes make stools softer. By balancing the diet, you can often keep the stools comfortably mid-range. If the stools are still too firm, juice is the gentlest medicine to soften them up. Apple juice twice a day is a good bet. If this doesn't work, prune juice is even better. Also, when your son is straining you might want to put him in a tub of warm water. This will relax his muscles and make the stool easier to pass.
Ibu introduced me to cheese last week and I am soo in love with anything cheese. So far Ibu has made me buttery rice topped with tomato cheese'y sauce with bits of chikin in it and pasta cooked in cheese'y sauce with grated carrots. yumyummm. Ayah sits very far away from me when I'm eating because he don't like the taste/smell of cheese...hehe.
Oh dear, Ayah suffered a very bad backache again today. His back was really in pain the moment he woke up in the morning. He tried putting on a brave font and wanted to follow us to the jalan2 raya outing with Nenek, Atok and Aunty Zah in the afternoon but he couldn't sit without support for long and he had to lie down all the time and we had to cancel the outing. Sorry Nenek for the cancellation...let's hope Ayah gets better next week and he can go Hari Raya visiting. I haven't seen him in such pain before this...my poor Ayah. Ayah couldn't carry me and play with me like he used to. I hope the doctor can fix his back or something so that I can play catching with Ayah again. :(
Instead of blending my food into pureed food, Nenek cooked my lunch of chikin, potatoes, bits of carrots and broccoli with a tint of ikan bilis in a crockpot just now. I instantly loved the taste and gobbled everything up within 1/2 an hour. Something yummy for my tastebud finally and the world is at peace again...hehe.
