They lowered my cot when Tok saw me stand in the cot the yester'nite. I even had time to lean over to see what's below before Tok immediately took me out of the cot and put me on the floor to play with my activity table.

Coincidentally Ibu saw this in a forum she frequents:

"Left dd in her cot for only a couple of minutes to wash my face and brush my teeth. Heard a 'piak' sound, rushed to the bedroom to find her missing in the cot and lying on the floor instead. She must have leaned over the cot and plunged to the floor.

My heart stopped beating and it felt like the end of the world for me. Fortunately, upon close inspection, dd did not seem to have sustained any serious injuries. I couldn't even detect any bruises. (Maybe they will surface today ....) After her cries subsided, she was playing happily with her toys."

I hope my lil friend there will be fine after the fall. I would be in total shock if I were in that situation. I remembered the pain when my head hit the floor a few wks back. To all Ibus and Ayahs, do make sure the lil ones are safe in their cots. I know my Ibu is sometimes just too kancheong but in this case, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Ibu finally bought me a Baby Einstein dvd (Baby Macdonald) after reading about my other comrades who bought the cds and read about the good reviews. Ibu had heard about it a longgggg time ago but Ibu thought that it's boringgg when she saw the demo version of a Baby Einstein she got from the hospital. Since Ibu and Ayah hadn't got perfect eyesight, they are also afraid that the glare and fast moving motions on teeve might cause an early onset of myopia. Ibu also got the impression what good can some soft hand puppets talking in squeaky voices, some pictures with words and pronunciations on them and lil people like me wriggling their butts can bring to me? But Ibu found them enjoyable too because she sat with me through it twice (one in the day/one in the evening)!

Initially I was disinterested too but I smiled when I saw some silly looking muppets appearing on the screen. The rooster caught my eye because he was the noisiest! The "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" song was very loud and catchy. And I kept my eyes transfixed although certain parts were boring and I did some other stuffs like trying to put my foot into my mouth. I'll be expecting more of Baby Einstein series in future!

going homeI've been so busy lately crawling here and there. The week just whizzed past and it's the weekend already. I had a fun afternoon today. I went back to my Bishan house in the morning. Ibu and Ayah wanted to 'test the waters' and see whether I would still put on my jebik when I reached there but I didn't. Ayah and Ibu were so proud of me!

I slept at the very spot I used to sleep on the H U G E bed and played with nenek bishan. oBek and makLong came to visit me too but it's been a long time since I saw them so I put on my jebik mode. makNgah also came for a while to deliver some lunch for the rest (not me cos I had mine!) Maybe I can stay for a whole day sometime soon.

Nenek is supposed to go for her class @ Al-Istighfar mosque yesterday but she was sick with a fever instead and cancelled her plans. Anyway it's great that Ibu is here. I had fun trying to crawl away from her when she tried chasing me but of course she's faster than me and managed to grab hold of me to give me lots of kishes. Too bad Ayah is not here to join in the fun.

I scared everyone yesterday and the day before when I bawled my lungs out after poopoo. My tummy has been having some discomfort recently. I will only sleep at night after I 'released' my poopoo before I sleep. And I would be really cranky before poopoo. It could be that lil piece of meat in my meal last Thursday or the anchovies 2 days ago. Ibu decided to put me on a diet of rice with either bits of potato, carrot, spinach, broccoli or sweet potato (since I've been eating them and there isn't any diverse effect) for a whole week to give my tummy a rest. :(

Doing my push upsI can crawl! I can now crawl quite fast from the living room towards the kitchen when somebody would see me and put me back to the original spot. I still have a rest on my tummy between 'steps' but I'm definitely on my knees more though my arms give way sometimes and I nosedive onto the floor or headbutt the sofa leg.

fishy mealMy meal tasted (and smelt!) fishy yesterday. Nenek put small pieces of threadfin (ikan kurau) into my brown rice mix with potato and carrot today. It was warm and a bit rough and I had the feeling that this was not going to be nice. I really wasn't sure about it, so after moving it around my mouth with my tongue, I pushed the goop straight out again. I ate only 1/2 of the bowl and that was it. Ibu stopped feeding me after I increased my frown and turned my head away and clamped my mouth really tightly, so that was that.

Today was a bit better. There were small bits of chikin in my brown rice and I finished a whole bowl of my meal. I managed to spray a bit of the stuff onto Ibu's face and her specs even got tiny dots of goop on them. *giggle*

I've just got off the webcam with Ayah. I showed him how well I can bob up and down real fast. He will only be with me tomorrow because he got some errands to do. :( Of course, nothing beats the actual presence of Ayah. I need my cuddles. Comforting, snuggly, loving cuddles.

Balancing actI can sit quite well now. I can stop myself from falling forwards sometimes but still fall forwards/backwards if I'm not careful. When I overbalanced forwards (which I did most of the time), I did a face plant onto the soft cushion.

Yester'nite, I was turning on my tummy and back again on the mattress till I reached the edge, I turned to my back and my head hit the carpeted floor. The pain registered a few seconds after my head hit the ground and I yelled! Although it wasn't a bad hit, the shock overwhelmed me. Ibu had better be careful when I'm sitting on the carpeted floor. I might do a face-plant on the hard floor *ouch!*

Ibu fed me my brown rice goop with carrots and potatoes today. Nenek was ill with the flu bug and Ibu had taken a day off to look after me. It's a good thing because I can play with Ibu today and I don't have to wait till Friday.

Anyway I don't want to sit in my chair so Ibu had to put me on the lap and feed me. I wasn't really paying much attention to the food because I kept turning back looking at Ibu and trying to eat while standing up. So I randomly opened my mouth and sometimes food went into it, and otherwise it went on my chin, or dripped on Ibu's knee or on my bib. It really took ages to finish the whole bowl. I kept my eyes on Ibu in case she left again, but thankfully she stayed around. :D

After reading up online articles shared by Ibu Nunu, Ayah and Ibu bought a hand blender last Friday to prepare homecooked food. My first try with porridge + potatoes and carrots was successful and I gobbled a bowl of porridge in no time!

Verdict: I want more! Needs to be less watery though.

Next food on the menu: ikan bilis and beancurd. Might even try broccoli.

Ibu bought me more books again yesterday. And that includes a couple of books from my favourite Dr Seuss. *yay!* His singsong rhymes are addictive and the way Ibu reads his books makes it even more enjoyable. The words become stickier like those songs you can't out of your head the more Ibu reads it. Ibu can read the Circus McGurkus without looking at the book now. She would read the Circus McGurkus when I scream out for no reason and all else fails to sooth me. I would listen to her intently with a smile on my face. Of course, this would work if the reason for screaming is not hunger and everyone in the house knows that! But I think Ibu is the one who loves Dr Seuss' books more. hehe.
