One of those relaxing moments. ^_^

Ibu and Ayah came just now with so many of my shtuffs from Bishan since I won't be going back for the time being. It's like they had moved the whole room in Bishan to Pasir Ris. There is a huge collection of my clothes which will be such a waste if I don't wear it now because babies grow super-duper fast!

Babies go from pretty lifeless lil lumps in their Ibu's tummies to crawling, laughing, sometimes-running toddlers in 12 months time. Things happen sooo quickly. Just look at these pictures!

i was sooo itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny!Anyway the house is a bit messy now. But since I'm still a baby, I'll only be watching them tidy everything up. :P

yummy!Everytime I saw anyone eat, I would watch that person and imagine what it's like if I could have a teeny-weeny taste of that food. Well, I got to eat my very first solid food today! *loud cheers with pompom* It's not exactly solid; it's so watery that I had to top up another 150ml of milk to fill up my tummy. I kept kicking my legs to tell Pati that I want more of that stuff in my mouth. I'm getting the hang of it and it's an incredible taste experience. I swallowed a bit but I think it's more fun to put my fingers in my mouth when I have a mouthful and feel it that way but Pati held my hands down. :P I'm now constantly thrilled to discover how many more avenues there are to explore in my newly-found food passion.

The jab. The most dreaded moment in any lil people's (even to some big people) life. I remember the pain when I had a jab at my lil butt. It hurt! So I guess thats why I hate needles. Needles are the worst invention in the history of man!

I couldn't even guess that Ibu and Ayah brought me there for an injection just now. Dr Pradeep definitely didn't wield any tray of torturous implements in front of my face. He spoke in a soothing voice that I didn't even realise he was going to poke me with that sharp and pointy needle. I lay still for a moment and let out a brief yelp before he put a plaster over the wound quickly and Ibu carried me immediately. It was over in a matter of seconds.

I don’t see how anyone can be an intravenous drug user.

Phew! I'm back again at Pasir ris after crying myself silly. I havent been back at my Bishan home for quite some and attempts to make me stay at my Bishan home previously had been futile. But they tried it again today. Pati and her 'entourage'(Tok+Aunty Zah) sent me in a 30min journey to Bishan. The moment I was right in front of my house, I could feel a sense of deja vu...that uneasiness of being familiar somehow, sometime, somewhere.

Even when Ibu greeted us when she opened the door, I was dumbfounded. What was Ibu doing here? I scanned the unfamiliar yet familiar surrounding(confused???).

Suddenly Atok Bishan called my name, 'Aisyah...aisyah...', I was more stunned and switched on my jebik mode. And cried. Ibu pacified me and I was ok again. Abg Alif was there too and I had some fun time with him telling me some stories. But the moment Nenek tried to be friendly with me, the jebik came back and I cried. Ibu tried to pacify me again but I wailed even louder this time.

Let me tell you...there are many types of crying in a baby's encyclopaedia.

I cry when I'm hungry.
I cry when I'm tired.
I cry when I'm scared
I cry when I'm having a discomfort (too wet, hot, cold, or squished poopoo in my diapers)
I cry when I'm in pain (jabs are always painful!)
I cry when I'm overstimulated. Sometimes I cry because the big people talk in loud voices and trying to get my attention. I just try to shut out all that's going on around me and wailed out loud. Of course, it's a chaos, I tell you!

In this case, I was crying because I was scared. Yes, I'm afraid of unfamiliar faces. Faces which I have not seen for a long time. Like meeting Abg Amin's Ibu.

I just need more time to be acquainted with Atok and Nenek Bishan. One day, maybe.

Happy Birthday, Ibu!

wow..she's 27 already. It will be like a gazillion years when I'm that old! I have not even passed the 1/2 year mark yet. But I'm contented to be baby for now. I don't have to worry about anything like the big people. I can just scream when I'm hungry and in a few minutes I would be guzzling my milk happily. I don't have to rush to the loo to pee. All I have to do is just lie down, straighten my legs and let it all out. I can sleep and wake up at anytime of the day. I'm definitely enjoying life. :D

Aunty Zah somehow contracted something and it broke out into a rash. In classic imperialist fashion, the rash overextended itself by noon and decided to invade everywhere leaving blotchy red spots all over her. She couldn't help but scratch herself silly and that made it worse. She's now given 3 days quarantine and she's definitely not allowed to go near me so which means I can't play with her for the time being.

cookies!I wonder what has gotten into Ibu lately. She has been baking cookies on 2 consecutive Saturday nights. However it is indeed enjoyable to see a flurry of activities in the kitchen. Everyone looks so busy...even Ayah was in the 'warzone', decorating the cookies with walnuts and cornflakes. Pati acts like a supervisor, sharing her expertise to the 2 noobs. Tok and Aunty Zah are delegated to carry me to view the entire 'show'. heh.

I'd want to be in on the action but Tok wouldn't enter the kitchen *he said it's too stuffy in there*. I would love to crack eggs, fling batter across the kitchen, and of course, taste the dough when I become one of those lil people.

I got another set of books today from Ibu. She ordered them online and someone came to Pati's house to deliver them. How could I read all of them when they have sooooo many lil words in them? Before Ibu could finish reading me a book, I was trying to stuff that book into my mouth. But these books are not like my other soft books. They are definitely not for my consumption because the covers are pretty hard and my gums hurt when I bite on them.

Ibu, pls buy me soft, edible books next time.

The extreme humidity in Singapore (the place I'm living now) is generally a bad thing for me. At times I thought I would just melt and evaporate from the heat. Heat rash suddenly appeared on my forehead this morning. It's no pretty sight. aunty Zah says it looks like a map of the galaxy if the dots are connected. *hmmph!* I look funny now with a dash of cornstarch powder across my forehead but at least it cuts down on the itching and rubbing. I really should see a dermatologist this weekend if this goes on.

In the meantime, I may need Boo Boo Buddy to make my forehead feels better.

Ibu went for a haircut just now though I honestly think that she looks just the same. I think I need a new hairstyle myself and some bits are growing a bit out of way at the back. Ibu and Ayah likes my current hairstyle though. Pati often jokes about my hair which looks like it has been gone for a perm (on good hair days). But it can look pretty horrifying on bad hair days and that nobody outside the family has ever seen the bad-hair-day hairstyle..fortunately. :P

Ayah and meAyah went back to bishan this evening without ibu. :( Ibu wasn't going home because she took a 1-day holiday from work. It has been a very short weekend with Ayah. He had to go to a wedding and by the time he comes back to Pati's house, he immediately gets ready all his stuffs to go back to Bishan. Fortunately I didn't sleep when Ayah was back from the wedding or I would have missed giving him a goodbye hug and kish.

I'm sick...I'm tired, no...make that exhausted. My brain is fried. I'm supposed to go for my jab tomorrow but i went to the doc today with Ibu and Pati. That sniffle I had yesterday at 3am (the cause of my crankiness which caused my Pati to be awake till 4am!) has unfortunately exploded into runny nose, sore throat, and a bit of a fever. Ibu told me not to eat any icecream but I swore I didn't touch any of those!

And guess what! I am changing my milk formula again for the 4th time in my entire 5months existence! My poopoo had been watery for a couple of weeks and the paed suspected my system isn't digesting the milk well hence the watery goo. Similac babies are supposed to have semi-solid poopoo. This might be the reason why I haven't been gaining weight that much. He added that I might be lactose-intolerant so he recommended the Mamex Lactose-Free formula. I hope this change can bring my digestive system working properly. Watery poopoo has this yucky feeling on my lil butt.

I have so many nicknames. Pati calls me 'kembang'. 'Kembang' means inflate so you get the BIG picture *no puns intended*. :P Tok calls me his 'Intan'. It's something to do with precious stone but I'm no stone. I'm just a baby. Nenek Bishan calls me Kunta Kinte...a nickname which was derived when I was only a few weeks old. Aunty Zah calls me 'Sonana'. It doesn't actually mean anything and sounds funny when you pronouce it but Aunty Zah has this habit of coming up with crappy words anyway. hehe.

Ibu and Ayah calls me ubi kentang. They even have a song..an ubi kentang song! lol.

'Mana dia ubi kentang?
Ini dia ubi kentang...'

I grinned widely everytime they sang that song though it was actually Ayah's actions of bobbing up and down which got me so tickled.

Nenek bishan came to visit me in Pati's house with Mak Ngah, Uncle Azhar and Abg Alif in the afternoon. It's been a lonnnnnng time since I saw Abg Alif. He made some funny faces which had me laughing out loud. He also gave me this hairband he got from mcDonalds but I can only wear it when my hair's long enough. My hair's growing at the back of my head but at the rate it's going, I think it will only grow fully when I can walk. Anyway I preferred that Hello Kitty toy Abg Alif got though. It looks more colourful and good to be eaten. :D

Aunty Zah bought me a couple of books yesterday. There's a squeeze and squeak bath book. It's drool'proof. I can munch on it for hours and all Ibu had to do is just wipe my drool of the book! There's also one book from Dr Seuss' again! Dr Seuss never fails to make me drool'y over his books *no puns intended* just like all my other books actually. The one Aunty Zah bought is the Circus McGurkus 1, 2, 3 that has a drum-tummied Snumm with a rattle to beat. There is even a four horn-tooting apes with a squeaker. And read this! 5 elephants balancing on top of each other...wow!

I have another one of his book, 'Wet Pet, Dry Pet, Your Pet, My Pet' which has many many pettable pets like Zed with 1 hair on his head, Yink who likes to wink and drink pink ink and Zeep, a HUGE yellow furry creature.

I can't read a single word for now but I sure am hungry for knowledge that they always end up getting munched by me. hehehe.

In my search for that perfect diaper, I've tried Pampers, Mamy Poko, Fittys, Huggies, etc. Pampers Premium ain't working for me because it sometimes leaks. Maybe its the way the diaper is worn. You really got to check the frills surrounding the thigh area are all out as its supposed to be to prevent the leaks. I will be happily chewing my toy when I turned to my side and pee at the same time, I could feel the warm liquid trickling my side. oops!

I don't like Drypers either. the material disintegrates after a couple of pee cycle and there will be some fibrous stuffs on my babysmooth buttskin. Ibu also hates the the tape for sticking the Dryper diaper because it is sooo strong that Ibu had to use her super-power strength to remove it. Imagine that! I only tried it when I was a newborn because Ibu got some free Dryper samples. The fitting ain't that nice either. I've tried Fitties but they just don't fit for me.

I'm currently using Huggies for that snug fit but Ibu thinks the frontal part is a tad too bulgy in my pants and I sure do look uncomfortable. It sure does! Ibu may buy MamyPoko again because they suit me best out of all we've tried but their diapers are a bit tight on my thighs. :S

Maybe Ibu should try gDiapers. They look attractive and cute. That golden orange sure will look good on me. I like their tagline. Fashion and function on one cute bum. That will make me one pretty baby. ^_^
