That's me! Ayah has nicknamed me, the Piranha. My life has been all about the endless chewing and the almost frantic desire to have something in my mouth almost all day. I even managed to make a teether leak and kakak Aisyah had a fun time spraying water from that thing...hehe. Nowadays I get an increase of saliva in my mouth and I drool a lot. Too much saliva caused me to cough sometimes. Ibu said that this normal because I'm just trying to to lose the extra saliva from my pharynx (whatever that is :p). It gets worse at night when I'm sleeping. I would be sleeping soundly and suddenly will wake up with a bad cough as if I'm choking. This disrupts my sleep. Till my teeth grows like the big people, I will just have to endure this phase, I guess.
As kids begin teething, they might drool more and want to chew on things. For some babies, teething is painless. Others may experience brief periods of irritability, and some may seem cranky for weeks, with crying jags and disrupted sleeping and eating patterns. Teething can be uncomfortable, but if your baby seems very irritable, talk to your doctor.
