I had a playdate with Hamna just now. Hamna is my neighbour and she's not even 2 yet. Ibu had mixed some painting solution using cornflour, water + food colouring and wé did footprint painting. This is my first time soooo it's very fun! Usually we only used our hands to paint. I dipped my feet inside the paint and walked across the paper Ibu had pasted on the floor. We did our activity at the corridor because it would be cramp'y inside the house. However Hamna preferred to soak her feet inside the coloured solution. She even had a taste of the yucky solution when we did out hand-stamping next...hehe.

It was love at first sight when Ibu showed me this puzzle. It is a 3-layered puzzle. The bottom layer depicts frog spawn and two tadpoles. The second layer is a tadpole turning into a frog and the top layer is a beautiful frog. Ibu got this and a couple of other George Luck puzzles at a closing-down sale at Forum and they are amazing!
George Luck puzzles are educational jigsaws made from wood from a sustainable source. These award winning puzzles help children develop shape recognition, manual dexterity skills and hand-eye coordination. Many of the puzzles have several layers, which adds both complexity through an added dimension and an aesthetic quality not found in conventional jigsaws. They are manufactured by laser cutting which makes each puzzle very precisely engineered.George Luck wooden puzzles are finely cut with engraved detail. The pieces are stained and lacquered to last for many years from generation to generation as family heirlooms.

We played with bunga api (sparklers) on the eve of Hari Raya for the first time and it was great fun! At first we were scared but we braved ourselves and waved the sparklers merrily. It's safe if we don't hold them near ourselves. They are like flowers shining bright and they made such a beautiful sight! You know, it wouldn't be that much of a Hari Raya without these sparklers and it's just one of the ways to get ourselves in the mood.

Ibu decided to make our own kueh raya for the very first time this year. There will be peanut butter cookies and m&m cookies on out list. The rest will be keropoks and nuts and more keropoks! Actually we have already started making our own raya cookies last year but we got stomach flu a day after making a batch of cookies and ended up lying in bed till raya. Hopefully this Raya will be better for us. Ameeeeeen!

Here I am building a horse with some Daiso blocks under a makeshift tent. kakak is at school and I had to entertain myself while Ibu is cooking. The makeshift tent was actually built using ayah's old kain pelikat. Ibu punched some holes in the kain to tie shoelaces into them and secure them onto our bed railings. Innovative, huh?

Tadaaa! It's finally ready after a few weeks of working on it! This is our very own bulletin board where we can share our creations here and learn a thing or two. It's still a work in progress and we will put more stuff along the way. I just hope Ibu will constantly update this board. insya Allah!

It was raining really heavily when school ended just now. As usual Ibu will bring my pair of rain boots to be worn so that my school shoes won't be wet. I also wore my raincoat since it's so troublesome to carry an umbrella with the wind blowing hard on you. I took the chance to look for muddy puddles to jump in them! I always look forward to muddy puddles after it rains...hehe. Ibu told me that rain carries great importance for all livings things, including us!
"And We send down from the sky rain chartered with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and grain for harvests."(Al-Quran 50:9)
