We went to the Philatelic museum for this month's school excursion. Basically it's a museum which keeps all sorts of stamps. You can see a HUGE variety of them at the museum! I didn't know there are so many different kinds. You can actually write a letter and seal it in an envelope with a stamp on it to be delivered!

Well, I doubt a lot of people write such letters in this modern times of emailing. Of course, I'd prefer a snailmail anytime! Is there anyone who would be interested to exchange letters with me? I promise I would write nicely with my doodles. :D

I am going to start a monthly favourite recipe entry from now on. And this month's favourite is salmon patties!

1 medium salmon fillet
1 scallions, chopped
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground garlic
1 teaspoon lime juice

Boil salmon till 3/4 done. Drain fish and flake it. Mix the scallions, breadcrumbs, curry, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic and ginger. Form the patties. Put the patties in the fridge for about 20min to preven crumbling when frying.

Heat oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Cook patties until light brown, about 4 minutes; flip; cook 3 minutes more. Serve over rice or you can even eat them on their own.

They are so easy to make. Boil the salmon for a while, mash everything up once it's cooked and then add the spices and breadcrumbs. Mix everything together (noooow this is my favourite part because I get to taste them first) and roll them into medium-sized balls. Flatten them a bit and fry them. I prefer this than normal bagelele (the ones with potatoes and that's what my sister used to call bagedil...hehe).

I love love looooove cupcakes. I can gobble up a few cupcakes at one go if they are delicious. My current favourite is Nutella surprise cupcakes. There's some nutella in the cupcake itself when you bite into one. I was surprised when Ibu made it for the first time. Nutella surprise indeed!

Have anyone of you been to NEX? It's a new shopping centre next to Serangoon MRT. We went there again after my jab at Dr Woon's. Did you know the last time I took a jab was in 2007? Yep, it was a very, very long time ago. Anyway this jab wasn't painful and I didn't flinch even a bit. Ibu brought us there because I had been a brave girl! :D

Back to my trip to NEX, there's a library on the rooftop. We happened to stumble upon the library when Ibu brought us to the wetplay area. Ibu didnt let us play there because we didn't bring any extra clothes. We wandered around and had our snacks at the rooftop before checking out the library. It was a fast trip around the library because it was crowded. I guess being in a shopping centre, the library at NEX will surely be more crowded than community libraries.

I have been having a bad constipation these past few months. It is so bad that sometimes I did not poop for almost a wk! When that happens, my tummy will start behaving like a washing machine and I will have a tummy-ache after that. I will usually just try to tahan the pain by telling Ibu I want a vuvunenen but when the urge to go is really bad, I will walk around the house while telling Ibu that I'm going to do it!

I eat fruit a lot (compared to my kakak who eats only apples!) and drink lots of water but I still have this problem. Ibu just brought us to NTUC for a quick fruit-spree. She bought a dragonfruit, one HUGE watermelon, a pack of strawberries and a pack of peaches. Well, of course I didn't eat EVERYTHING.

I really really hate it when Ibu have to insert a suppository into my butt to make me poop. It's not painful but it's very uncomfortable. I will suddenly have a strong urge to push everything out within minutes. I'm scared of pooping because pooping out hard stools is no joke, ohkay. It takes a lot of effort and I can finally sigh with relief when it's all over.
