Ibu and Ayah woke me up so early in the morning yesterday to get me to the doc for my heat rash prob and the mysterious white flakes on my scalp. They just wanted to ascertain whether they were really heat rash, eczema or an allergy problem. I had to stop my chicken and egg intake because of this rashes. hmmph!

I took my weight when we reached the clinic and of course, I'm way way at the bottom of the chart. I haven't even reached the 10kg mark at 16 months! When we came into Dr. Elizabeth's room, she gave me a gel-like ring which flashes out some colourful lights. It's probably to distract me but I grew bored of it and doodled on a piece of paper instead while Ibu and Ayah discussed about my skin conditions with the paed. The paed showed us some pictures of real cases on the computer and concluded that the rashes on my neck (front and back) were indeed heat rash and I had eczema too. Some cases were so bad that the skin peeled and bled due to consistent scratching.

She also advised not to go out in the hot sun much. It's best to dress me in singlets and 100% cotton apparels which is cooling since I get sweaty easily and my skin is sensitive. She also gave me some powder to make the rash-proned areas dry. If I'm still itchy-scratchy, I have to take some syrup to make the itch go away and if that area gets inflamed, there's the lotion to keep it down. I have to get some Evian mineral water spray to keep me cool throughout the day.

Got it from Ibu, I guess...since she got eczema and extremely sensitive skin. Well, there goes my plans to go to the zoo and Bird Park. :( Can we go when it's less sunny, Ayah...like early morning or in the late evening?

The doctor also diagnosed the white flakes on my scalp as dry skin. Phew...fortunately it wasn't a dandruff problem. I would have to use Head & Shoulders if that happens! She prescribed some olive oil to be applied on the dried areas of the scalp.

Regarding my weight-gain problem, Dr Elizabeth shared with Ibu and Ayah some Indian and Sri-Lankan recipes. The magic ingredients she recommended to make me gain a lil are ghee and sunflower seeds (both organic preferably). By the sound of it, they sure taste delicious! No more Annabel Karmel recipes. Sri Lankan and Indian food, here I come!

I'll be visiting the paed again in 2 months time to see whether I can gain some weight.

This is just like a playpen except you can leave anytime you want. You can even bounce up and down on it. It's very fun except this sure needs a big space in the house.

It's unusual for my parents to let me eat outside food because the food is full of artificial ingredients and unhealthy stuffs like MSG and lots of salt. Usually we would go to eating places after I have my lunch or dinner or I would just sit around eating my biskots while everyone have their meals. Or Ayah would bring some cereals for me to eat together. *yucks!* But yesterday I have to eat something for dinner at the Waroeng Penyet because I was getting a bit cranky. A hungry toddler is a cranky one.

Usually we have our ayam penyet at Lucky Plaza but yesterday we decided to try the ayam penyet at Marine Parade. We ordered the usual; the ayam penyet meal. Nenek ordered the oxtail soup and I had a bit of it with rice, carrots and some potatoes. Apart from that, I also had a go at the Ayam Penyet. It was yummy'licious, I tell you. No wonder Ibu and Ayah were happily eating their ayam penyet. :D

But in future, will there ever be a menu specially for lil people like us? All I need is some salt, sugar and MSG free and bland and mushy food for the babies. It would very convenient if there is a special porridge for us or maybe muffins which have less sugar and overcooked pasta for us who hasn't grown much teeth yet.

I stepped into Ayah's favourite place, Sim Lim Square, on Chinese New Year eve yesterday. We had wanted to get a power supply for Ibu's computer because it was dead. Yes, as in the monitor doesn't show anything when I press the 'on' button. It just wouldn't start suddenly.

Anyway Sim Lim Square was different from the usual shopping centres I went to. There were no clothes, apples, cereals and not even one kiddy ride...you know, the one where you slot in $1 and the kiddy ride goes left, right, front and back. But I did see many monitors and keyboards on display. I even saw computers just like the ones we have at home. Many of the shops were still open even though it was already the eve of Chinese New Year which was a good thing or our visit there would just waste our time. While Ayah was searching for a power supply in a particular shop, I managed to do some exploring on my own. hehe.

Nenek wanted to buy a small teevee for her room so we went to Mustafa Centre yester'nite. That place is soo soo crowded even at 10pm! We saw groups of people sitting on the grass, waiting at traffic lights, or just loitering outside the shopping centre. Basically there were lots of people outside and inside Mustafa Centre. A stroller in such a place would be inappropriate. I was allowed to walk only at the teevee section because there were very few people there. Few people means I don't get hit into by the walking BIG people. But the best part of the outing was I got to switch off every single teevee in the area. Well, Ibu and Ayah always tell me to save electricity. Since nobody was watching the teevees, I might as well switch them off...right?

Ibu thinks this is a good furniture piece for my room when I'm all grown up. It uses space well and it's like all-in-one-coffee; you get 2 beds *although I don't know who's going to sleep in that extra bed :P*, a small wardrobe and a computer desk even! Colours looks good too because light-colours makes a room looks bigger. Don't ask me how they make rooms bigger with just colours.

I get all excited when I see one. hehe.

The Wheels on the bus go round and round;
round and round;
round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
all through the town!

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep;
beep, beep beep;
beep, beep, beep.
The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep,
all through the town!

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish;
swish, swish, swish;
swish, swish, swish.
The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish, all through the town!

The people on the bus go up and down;
up and down;
up and down.
The people on the bus go up and down,
all through the town!

I went to Arab Street yesterday because Ibu wanted to get some scarves. Well, a couple of her scarves has some tiny cottonballs on them and looked like they had gone through many years of washing. Anyway she does need to change her wardrobe. heh. Her scarves are aging!

We managed to get out of the house only at 3pm because I had a very lonnnnng lunch (that will be another story!). I was already sleepy by then and wasn't in the best of moods but getting out of the house is better than being 'confined'. hehe.

We passed Golden Landmark and I was soopa excited to see the escalator. Ibu and Ayah brought me up and down the escalator twice. Ahhh...cheap thrill. Then off we went to this shop where they sell only scarves, scarves and more scarves! I was more excited than Ibu to walk around the shop and have a look2 and see2.

Ayah followed me like my chaperone to make sure I didn't grab anything on display or run out of the shop alone. But I was always a step in front of him and zigzag in between the shelves. hehehe.

After buying the scarves, we headed down to IMM at Jurong East to get dinner (well, for the adults actually). Ibu can't eat her favourite Beef bento set because the Japanese uncle wasn't there. She tried the Chiken Noodle and she liked it. She also bought a plate of honeydew and watermelon which she shared with me. yumyum!

IMM is our last stop for the day and we went home after that. I was so tired from the jalan2 that I was already snoozing on the ride home.

I got a book which I can doodle on. Although my doodles are generally lines and curves, it is a very interesting activity because this is my first time writing! Usually books are filled with words and pictures and you can't write anything on them but this book is different. I can doodle on one side of the page with the chalks that come with it. They taste nice too. :B It even has a chalk eraser for me to 'rub away' my doodles. I think I'm getting a hang at doodling.
