We took at least 1/2 hr to get a taxi yesterday to go back to Nenek's house in Pasir Ris. And that's not all. There was even a family who took a look at us and just cut the queue to flag the taxi...gah! I'm so angry that I wish I could just throw my explosive poo-filled diapers at each one of them. How inconsiderate!

My Hari Raya wasn't anything fantastic. I spent most of the day at home actually. Last year was worse because I spend most of my time sleeping...zzz. The good thing is we went out together as a family for the first time on Hari Raya. ^_^ Ibu and Ayah brought me to mak Ngah's house in the morning to have their breakfast of lontong and the works while I played with Abang Alif. When we got back, I slept for 2 hours before I had my lunch.

Ibu and Ayah later made me wear a new baju kurong made by Nenek. My new baju kurong has nice alphabet prints on it and the 'kain' looks more like a skirt...hehe. But it's quite comfortable to wear because it's cotton unlike those sold in shops which Ibu complains of being sticky after wearing them. However The skirt do get in the way when I'm crawling...gah!

After I'm all prim and proper, we set out to Mak Ngah's place again where Ibu and Ayah had their lunch of the same thing again...lontong! it was at 4pm already when we made our move to Nenek's house in Pasir Ris. There's also lontong at Nenek's house. I bet that if I visit a few more houses, there would be lontong served. hehe. They're everywhere! I got a taste of it when Ibu let me have a bite of it. It didn't taste anything extraordinary. In fact it tastes like rice. I later found out that lontong is indeed rolled rice wrapped in a palm leaf which is then boiled. As the rice cooks, the rice becomes compressed and it becomes lontong. Cool huh?

When we arrived to Nenek's place, Ibu's uncle was already there with his family to visit Nenek. He is Nenek's twin but he doesn't look a single bit like Nenek...not even the hair...hehe. I had my dinner and crawled around while everyone talked about the weather, school and issues which matters to the BIG people. After Ibu's uncle has gone home, Abang Amin and his family came for a visit. I was just too tired from the day's activities that I had fallen asleep.

I love watermelons. They are especially nice to eat on hot weathers. Ibu says she loves them too and since I like it too, she’ll buy more next time or get both my Neneks to buy for me. Ibu gave me a spoon and a bowl with chunky bits of watermelon in it just now. Looks like Ibu wants me to feed myself. But all I did was putting the spoon in my mouth and poking at the watermelon with my fingers at the same time. I did manage to put bits and pieces of watermelon into my mouth...yummy! It was a total mess. Ibu didn't take the "after-pictures" because she was too busy cleaning me up. hehe.

I have a new skill which I used during lunchtimes and that's...*drumroll*...keeping my food in my mouth for quite a long time before the next suap. I can even keep it longer if I find the food not to the "standard" of my tastebuds. Recently Ibu had been experimenting with unsalted butter, cheese and tomatoes but I don't really like their taste so what I do is just keep that spoonful of food in my mouth till Ibu asked me to chew and swallow the food. In the meantime I would keep my lips shut and refuse to open my mouth when Ibu tried to feed me. Most of the time Ibu gave up and changed my food to those instant ones. Just add water and it's done unlike what Ibu usually does to prepare my food. Isn't this easier for you, Ibu? *grins*

Ibu and Ayah had their iftar with Abg Alif and family + nenek bishan at Siam Kitchen just now. As usual I sat on their high-chair and Ibu passed me a biskot to munch on while everyone filled their tummies with the yummy'licious-looking food. I played around with a couple of spoons and a pack of tissue...tearing them one by one. Ibu and Ayah shared a bowl of fish noodle soup which Ayah didn't eat after discovering that the soup tasted milk'ish. He should have given me some because I love milk. Fish in milk sounds niceee. They also ordered a plate of olive rice which looks like my brown rice except it's less gooey. It has lil bits of chikin on the rice and looks rather plain-looking but Ibu likes it while Ayah finds it so-so. For dessert, Ibu had chendol and the rest ordered some mangoes dessert. I don't know what it is called but I really love the mangoes...yumyum!

We passed through Geylang Serai today while on our way to my house just now. The place was simply dazzling with lights! There's red, orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple. Basically all the colours of a rainbow are there. Initially Aunty Zah wanted to bring us for a mini-shopping tour in Geylang but the place was so crowded with people that there isn't anywhere for Aunty Zah to park her car. I saw some lil people in the strollers or being carried by their parents there as well. I would have screamed my head off if I were in that kind of situation. It must have been hot hot hot with all those people...not that kind of hot, ok. It that kind of sweaty hot. x_x So any of you bambinos braved through the crowd (and sweat)?

This is a late entry because Ibu is soo busy for a major project that she didn't have the time to help me blog here. Anyway there aren't any cakes to eat on my birthday. All I get are a couple of biskots and a kurma to eat. But nevermind about that. The real fun is getting presents actually....hehehee. Aunty Zah bought me a toy tractor. It sings whenever I move it.
"Old MacDonald has a tractor,
EIEIOOOOO.
And on his tractor, he has a cow,
EIEIOOOOO..."

And it's not just an ordinary tractor...it's an intelligent tractor because if I don't put Mr Old MacDonald in his seat , he will go,
"O-oh, I can't drive this tractor!"

Abang Amin also gave me Elmo which talks when I hug him or press this lil flower which he carries. Elmo can get pretty noisy though unlike my puppet Elmo which just sits somewhere in the corner of the house.

Ibu and Ayah bought me an alphabet jigsaw playmat. I guess Ibu expects me to play within the boundary of the playmat but of course, I crawl out of it when nobody notices. hehehee.

And I receive lots of $$$ from Nenek and Atok Bishan as well as Abang Alif. Thank you all! It has indeed been a year of learning for Ibu, Ayah and me.

Ibu is really interested in this storage and the likes because it's multi-functional. While Nenek's house in Pasir Ris has lots of space for me to explore, my house at Bishan needs a lot of furniture re-arrangement to make way for me in future if Ibu decided to stop working and look after me fulltime. The computers will most likely be moved out because that room is going to be mine and Ibu is probably going to sell her computer to get a notebook instead. And we haven't thought of how it's going to be if I ever get a baby brother(or sister even)...yikes!

Do I look sick?I already had a slight runny nose for 3 days but it wasn't anything serious. But the medications Nenek gave me didn't do anything because I sneezed out yellow mucus while playing with Abang Alif. Mak Ngah suggested to bring me to see Abang Alif's now-favourite doctor. Since it's a Sunday and Kinder Clinic is not opened on weekends, Ibu and Ayah brought me to see Dr Kartika at Flame Tree Clinic at Thomson. It was a really short bus-ride from our house.

We were fortunate because there weren't many people when we arrived. Mak Ngah told us that the clinic is usually quite crowded and you have to wait a long long time before you can see the doctor. Dr Kartika is a really nice doctor and said that she liked my hair...hehe. I just kept quiet as a mouse and smiled sheepishly at her. After checking my throat and listening to my heartbeat, she told us that the haze is most likely to be the cause of my runny nose. She prescribed me a liquid medicine for my phlegm and another for my runny nose (and they sure taste nice...yummy!) Ayah also enquired about my petite size. Dr Kartika said that perhaps I'm just a hyperactive baby and she also told me to get lots and lots of sleep and follow a proper diet of vege, fish and meat. Ibu and Nenek has been feeding all the good food but maybe my sleeping time at 12am-1am has been causing the slow growth. I really should change my sleeping time.

We took the medicine at the counter outside the doctor's room and went home. Ibu and Ayah will probably go back to the same doctor again when I'm sick because it's nearer to my house and way way cheaper (in terms of transportation and medicine cost) than Kinder Clinic.

Don't you think the cocoon looks cool? (Btw it's not for lil caterpillars actually...it's what Ibu calls it, the "Buai" but this one looks more stylo than mine)

It's a large pouch suspended by a spring, with the option to hang it from a doorframe or ceiling beam, or to purchase a separate stand. The stand shown above (one of two options) adds a touch of whimsy: apparently it’s “Inspired by the flight path of Oberon, King of the Fairies, as he takes off”.

But Ibu feels that it doesn't look safe from the picture especially now that I tend to turn and taking a peek in my buai when I woke up.

According to the Islamic calendar (or the Hijrah calendar), I'm one today. :D
I can do many things which I can't do many2 weeks back like:

- saying some words which made everyone happy and clap their hands...

Bye! *waves hands very fast*
Ba! = Bus
Daidaidai = Crocodile (referring to a snapping crocodile in a book Ibu just bought for me)
Ayah! = Ayah
Mamam = Eat
se-shers = splashes (referring to the 'whale splashes' phrase in my squeaky book)

- imitating people like doing the actions in the 'head and shoulders, knees and toes' song.

- waving, pointing and of course, pulling the toy cars away from Abang Alif's hands...hehehee.

But I'm still too lazy to try walking. The BIG people have tried tateh'ing me but I sat down on my diapered bum with a *plOmp!* and continued crawling. It is faster that way. Don't worry people. I just need an inspiration to walk. hehehehee.
