Aunty Zah called Ibu just now to tell her that I have another 2 teeth sprouting out from my upper gums as well. Aunty Zah was checking out my new teeth at the bottom gum and she thought she felt some grinding of teeth on her fingernail. She checked the upper gum and there were indeed 2 lil pearlies making their special appearance. So 2 teeth at the bottom and 2 at the top will make 4 teeth altogether...that's a lot! Actually I don't know anything about numbers...I used the calculator to count. hehe...ok kidding, Ibu told me. :P

Here are some tips pertaining to your baby’s liquid diet that you ought to adhere to ensure a healthy baby:

Avoid giving excessive water to infant as excess of water can cause ware intoxication, since the kidneys of a baby are quite immature and excess of water can lead to seizures, coma, brain damage and even death in some cases.

Make sure up to six months of age a baby should be given only breast or formula milk.

Once he reaches 6 months of age, you can give him 4 to 6 ounces of juice and up to 8 ounces of water per day, till he is 1.

Together with water, you can even give a mix of beverages including small amounts of sugar and sodium, such as juice.

I don't quite like water but when I'm thirsty, I can drink almost half of a botol especially after a long periods of playing and babbling non-stop. Sometimes I drink it all by myself (which will take a lonnnnng time to finish and most of the water goes to my chin and clothes) but sometimes I am too lazy to hold it up and someone hold it for me. :D

We went out for dinner at this Chinese restaurant called "R A Z A C K". Me, Ibu+Ayah, Abg Alif, Mak Ngah and Nenek managed to squeeeeze ourselves into the car and Uncle Azhar drove us to the eating place. The Chinese food is halal which means it's permissible to eat in Islam *according to Ibu lahhh* Ibu and Ayah never tried eating there but they reallly loved the food. There's fish, wanton soup, prawns in oats and some vege for everyone to enjoy. I thought that mine will also come served on a plate like everyone else's but all I got was just a piece of dry biskot. Bahhh!!! I shall report this unfairness to the Union!

In case you didn't notice, there's a new section on the right of your screen which says "Splashblog". Ibu has played around a bit with her pda to send some photos online through Splashblog. It's pretty nifty and allows direct posting to blogger even. *See lah...now I'm becoming a geek too!* since she will be getting a new toy sometime next week to take pictures on-the-go, you can expect pictures as fresh as any buns just baked in the oven. :P

Did you know that there aren't any hard bones in our feet...just soft cartilege. The lil feet shouldn't be constrained in tight-fitting, hard shoes as this can affect the way the bones harden and might cause deformities. *yikes!* Going barefoot is the best but it's not so practical to go barefoot during jalan2.

Barefoot is best for healthy foot development. In countries where footwear is not used, studies show an almost total absence of adult foot problems. For further reading on this topic, you can check out medical research (Click Here) at the unshod website. Obviously it is not always practical to be barefoot - which is where good shoe design comes in for warmth and protection while simulating barefoot conditions as much as possible for natural foot development.
Extracted from here.

I know shooshoos is goooooooooot for developing feet. And their range is pretty nice too for lil girls like me. *giggles* When Ibu did a bit of googling, she found this shop which sells the shoes locally and can even deliver them up to your doorstep (at $10 extra)! And she also found out a shop at United Square sells them as well.

But any tips and recommendations from lil fellas (and their parents perhaps) on buying shoes?

A teeny weeny bit of tooth has sprouted out from my sore gum. Ibu found out about it when she placed her finger on the bottom gum and did a check. Before I could chew on that finger, she has already taken it out and announced to everyone, "Aisyah dah ader gigiiiiiii lahh!" She was beaming from ear to ear...her trademark smiley. :P What's so happy about that anyway?

Ok, I was jealous that everyone has teeth except me but I've changed my mind now. I don't want any teeth. My bottom gum has split open and a tooth is about to come through...ow, ow ow! *uwaargh!* To make things worse, I fell flat on my face last Friday nite, hit my head on Ibu's teeth yester'nite and fell on my cheek while crawling yesterday! Are these bad luck or what?! So I've been thoroughly pampered since then...I only have to open my mouth and everyone will come running...hehehehee.

Checking out the directoryAlthough I have stayed at Bishan for several weekends already, I only made my trip to Junction8 for the very first time today. Ibu and Ayah brought me to Kiddy Palace to get some cotton buds, an Avent cup holder (since I can somehow drink an entire 120ml of water all by myself! I will blog about that sooon) and a rubber ducky. In the trolleyWe went to NTUC for some grocery shopping after that. Don't ask me what NTUC stands for but it must be owned by an aunty called Aunty Lucy. :P that place is HEEEEYUUUUUUUGE! It's like a maze with so many boxes of fruits and veges and biscuits and other common stuffs you would find in NTUC. Ibu put me in the shopping trolley which was my first time too...heh. I kept looking at that coin slot, thinking of how to take that $1 out from it. Well, I couldn't take it out and I didn't really care because I was munching on the rubber ducky (with the packaging and all) soon after.

It's pretty dark in the video because it is past my bedtime and Ibu has switched on the 'nak tido' lamp. Of course, I didn't sleep but I golek2 on the bed and purr'ed like a cat!

Ayah is already asleep actually in the background (you can actually spot him...hehe). And me? I'm still wide awake and babble babble yak yak in my screechy voice. The dim lights don't work most of the time. :P

I need to finetune my crane and floating stance techniques. Of course, I still have a lonnnnng way to go before I can be a kungfu master. :P Even tiny missteps in timing can seriously affect my balance, power, and even both!!! Did you know that every motion in any martial arts has a purpose and a bent wrist can mean the difference between an effective punch and a broken wrist. So I got to be careful next time I practise my kungfu.

This is my current hobby...peeling wallpaper in Nenek's room. Everyday I will crawl my way to the side of the bed and scrape the wallpaper off the wall. hehe. Of course, Nenek screams at me from time to time. But after a while, she decided to give up and let me peel it off. Time for a new wallpaper for the Hari Raya perhaps, Nenek? ^_^

The initial stage of peeling the wallpaper requires continuous scraping at the very edge of it with the fingernails. *scrape scrape* The tip is to have lonnnngggg fingernails...it helps. But Nenek has just cut my nails yesterday so this is going to take some time.

"Alamak! Nenek is screaming at me. *more scrape scrape*"

Nenek tried to take me away. Well, I whimpered...only a while. And continue scraping! hehehaha~

After this I think I need a manicure. My fingernails were slightly chipped from the constant scraping.

(p.s. Notice that this is my first time I upload a video on this blog too. Ibu tried gif animation but they were way tooooo BIG to be put online)

downgradedAck! Ibu and Ayah had decided to downgrade me to the floor today. I won't be able to sleep on that GIANT comfy bed anymore...well, actually it's during the mornings only. Everyone is afraid I might do a stunt like Aniq (and the other Union members) and ended up on the floor. Besides Ibu will be too busy tidying up the place and cooking my meal in the morning to keep looking into the room every few minutes. I didn't even notice that I've been downgraded because I had already dozed off on Ibu's shoulder before she placed me on the mattress. But when I woke up, it felt a bit strange...as if I was in another room.

(Note by Ibu: Photo was inspired by a nice photo she saw at dpblogs)

Although I have so many toys, I still prefer the "unconventional" playthings. Things that are not toys generally like:

1) a bunch of keys
2) tissue papers..lotsa them! I love tearing them into pieces.
3) that tube of drapolene
4) my hairbrush
5) clorets...it's fun if there are some clorets in it and shake it all about.

Of course, the list is neverending. The more I explore both my houses (Bishan+Pasir Ris), the more interesting stuffs I can find. I feel like I'm a pirate looking for treasures in the ocean. hehehe. Well, at least Ibu and Ayah can now be relieved that I don't need expensive toys. I'll make do with that old tissue roll. :P

biar betik?!This is stale news but I'm a member of our very own union called the Union of Bambinos. When I first knew I am part of this *ehem* exclusive club, I was sooooooo excited that I peed in my mamypoko. Yes, I'm typing this again, abg ajab. I have no idea what the Union does but we do provide good advice for mini people like us FOC. Maybe the Union can organise some training sessions for us one day. Ermm...how about a seminar on how to escape our torture chamber aka playpen/cot. How about learning ways to avoid our phototaking-frenzied parents? I would love to be part of the steering committee. But I don't want to do minutes ok!!

I think the readers of my blog are all members of the union but if you're not and would like to participate in this happening club where all the cool *sometimes cranky* mini people hangout together, please leave your drool somewhere or our lil space in the www. hehehehee.

I love having nice long baths after a sweaty day. A bath brings me to a smiling and playful mood when I am a bit cranky. (Notice the word "bit"). Sometimes I would be lazy and lie down in the tub while Nenek bathed me. heh. Sometimes I would just splash the water in the tub with my hands and kicking my legs. On some days, I prefer to bath standing up which is not a wise thing to do because it's slippery in the tub and I would just slideeee front, back or sideways. On weekends, it's more fun because Ayah would help Ibu to bath me. He's so much fun that I do not want to leave the bathtub until Ibu lifted me up and out of the bathroom. :P

On Ayah's bagI woke up feeling a bit tired this morning. We went to Ah-Po's house at Yishun yesterday. Like all first time encounters with strangers, I had to take some time to get used to the new surrounding and clinged myself to Ibu like a koala bear. While everyone was eating pizza, I tried reaching out for a slice but Ibu distracted me with a small packet of cold drink. *hmmph!* I had a fun time terrorising my cousin, Abg Alif, in the car by pulling his hair and ear though. I drooled on him at the same time too. He was covering his face from my splattered drool attacks and telling me to stop but I grabbed whatever I could grab of him! That sure was fun! Abg Alif was finally 'spared' from the attacks when I slept on my way back home. hehehehe.

Investigation in progressThe rambutan is a weird fruit, isnt' it? When I first touched it, I didn't exactly grab it with a single swipe like I usually do. I touched it carefully and took it with my fingers after a few minutes of getting used to the texture. I've been figuring out how to eat this but everytime I put it near my mouth, the soft spikes tickled the area around my mouth and I retracted it. aargh..maybe one day.

Ibu and me accompanied Nenek and Atok to Arab St today. I kept quiet throughout the journey in the bus because it was my first bus ride. :) Usually I zip around Singapore in taxis. It was a different experience altogether. The ride was a bit noisy with the sounds of the engine and BIG people boarding and alighting from the bus. Nenek tapped her wallet on some device and the device went, "TEETEEEET!". Everytime a BIG person board the bus, he did the "TEETEEEET!" too. hehe.

We also took the MRT to Bugis. This is my 2nd time taking the MRT. I had travelled on the MRT before. I sat in my stroller while looking at the surroundings and munching on my teether. Ibu helped me to stand beside her and I looked outside the window. The MRT was going pretty fast because the trees just seemed to zoom past me.

We initially wanted to take the lift at the Bugis MRT station but it was under maintenance. Fortunately Atok was there to help balance the stroller (with me in it!)while going up the escalator. Ibu is still too frightened to do that. We reached our destination at about 3.20pm. It was really really hot and humid and I sweat like crazeeee! I saw many BIG people taking photos outside the mosque and even Ibu didn't want to miss the chance of photographing me. hehe.

I was feeling sleepy when Ibu gave me my bantal bushuk and my pacifier. I eventually slept till I reached Pasir Ris.

me and the very hungry caterpillarMy current favourite book at the moment, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"!

On Monday, it's an apple.
On Tuesday, it's 2 pears.
On Wednesday, it's 3 plums.
On Thursday, it's 4 strawberries.
And on Friday, it's 5 oranges.

How I wish I am that caterpillar. He can eat different types of fruits everyday and eat up all the goodies on weekends.
